Geoff, your article today was personal to me, and believe it’s relatable to all in many ways.
Your intelligence, eloquence in writing and usually with a humorous spin makes it very interesting and informative to read. Today you made me think about my own losses through the years and know all of us have different ways of dealing with it. Thank you for today’s and all your insightful articles.
I was very moved & emotional reading your beautiful feelings on loss… my words to myself & others who have gone through loss has always been … we never get over … but we get through… as you know our history has taught us that our parents went through unimaginable loss & they never got over … but did get through to live their lives fully . In addition loss is also leaving a house where there are so many memories … & friends as you’ve said & the life we knew as a child or young parent or leaving any wonderful life for the unknown … As I get older I am reminded that nothing stays the same … loss is a part of life as is change & acceptance & embracing a new transition can get us through everything.
Thank you for your beautiful words … you very often articulate what others are thinking .
May the New Year bring you joy & peace & acceptance of all things in this life that we cannot change .
